EN GARDE - Expressions, postures, and uniforms from antique depictions and photographs of fencing have inspired this collection. Our collection is showcased in a film created in collaboration with two talented dancers from the Paris Opera. Directed by Lucas Beccaro.

Among the walls of the atelier in Paris, Dechamps breathes. If you approach, you might hear the sound of cutting, tearing and machine running. Here, the collection pieces are imagined, drawn and manufactured. By making the creation process visible to every client, the Franco-German designer duo transforms each piece into a personal and intimate experience.
Unlike bespoke tailors, Dechamps presents two genderless collections a year, that are a playground to explore, expand, and express their creative vision.

The name Dechamps originates from a Belgian textile family that relocated to Aachen, Germany more than 170 years ago. As one of the first, they used English spinning machines powered by water for the production of wool yarns. In 1872, the textile factory "Dechamps & Drouven" was founded in Aachen. It specialized in producing high-quality suit fabrics and was run by Camil’s family for over 125 years.
Carefully crafted cuts, skillful assemblies, and meticulously selected materials sourced from dormant leather and fabric stocks are giving rise to limited editions and ensure the longevity of Dechamps creations.
