It is in Paris that Mirja and Camil launch their Franco-German brand “Dechamps”. Housed in the library of a renowned architect in the Marais, they were able to set up their atelier to entirely create the first collection “High Twist” by hand.

Dechamps stands for an androgynous elegance that plays with the codes of the classic men‘s wardrobe. All garments are made to order in the parisian atelier. The accessories of the collection are made by craftsmen with an exceptional know-how: the silk scarves and leather goods are made in France, and the jewelry is made in Germany.

  • Camil Krings

Born in 1998 in France, he lives in Paris. Graduated from Atelier Chardon Savard.

Passionate about the classic men‘s wardrobe, Camil perfected his tailoring techniques at the Atelier Chardon Savard in Berlin. At the end of his studies he worked as junior designer for Celine in Paris.

  • Mirja Celine Hansen

Born in 1998 in Germany, she lives in Paris. Graduated from Atelier Chardon Savard.

At the Atelier Chardon Savard in Berlin, she specialized herself in accessories. At the end of her studies, Mirja pursued a leather goods design internship at Isabel Marant in Paris. She was then hired as a creative assistant at Hélène Nepomiatzi where she carries out projects for luxury houses.

History of Dechamps

Founded in 1872 in Aachen, Germany, Dechamps was a mill specialized in the manufacture of high-end clothing fabrics and was run by Camil‘s family for more than 125 years. Today, Mirja and Camil are bringing Dechamps back to life in order to cultivate this history and rich heritage. The rediscovery of the archives in the Tuchwerk museum in Aachen allows them to explore the philosophy and the know-how of the former mill Dechamps and helps them to revive this textile culture.
